The Mulberry Cottage

The Mulberry Cottage is a stand alone cottage of only one room and a separate bath. The room is decorated as a romantic couples retreat. Bright yellow, apricot and rose color the room while roses and birds help bring the outdoors in.

The King sized bed is fitted with high thread count linens and covered with an old fashioned dusty rose chenille bedspread. The large windows are surrounded by a beautiful flowered chintz half drape and buttercup over drapes.

The sitting area in The Mulberry Cottage has a Cherry rocker and an overstuffed arm chair to relax in and enjoy a movie. A cast iron tête-à-tête cafe set offers indoor dining space.

When you stay in the cottage, you also have a private porch with a view up the hill to the Old Taylor Mansion (once owned by the great grandfather of two US Presidents, Zachary Taylor and James Madison.)

Sit and watch the birds, read a book, or picnic on the porch. At night, you have a magnificent view of the country stars. It will take you all night to try to count them! If you are very lucky, you'll see a shooting star.

Television is available with VCR. Private bath with double whirlpool tub adjoins the room. Rates include hors d'oeuvres offered by request in the evening as well as a full multi-course gourmet breakfast daily. As in all our rooms, you have a refrigerator lightly stocked with beverages for your convenience. There is also a coffee pot with plenty of our own blended grounds and an assortment of teas right in the room.
