The Black Walnut Room

The Black Walnut guest room is located upstairs at the front of the house. The theme leans towards a private British clubroom. It is painted a deep burgundy and decorated with black and white accents.

The beautiful carved-wood Queen sized bed is fitted with high thread count linens. The cover and sham pillows are hand tailored by Lill from a deep gray gabardine and complimentary fabrics.

A pair of black Duponi silk chairs flank the gas log fireplace providing the perfect place to sit with a book and enjoy the fire's warmth in the cold winter months. Go ahead and make a cup of hot tea or a pot of coffee, pick a book from our trading library and slip in to another world.

Private bath with shower adjoins the room. Rates include hors d'oeuvres offered by request in the evening as well as a full multi-course gourmet breakfast daily. As in all our rooms, you have a refrigerator lightly stocked with beverages for your convenience. There is also a coffee pot with plenty of our own blended grounds and an assortment of teas right in the room.
