Dinners at Greenock House Inn
Greenock is growing!
(in more ways than one)
Over the last ten years, while we have undergone renovations and repairs on the buildings at Greenock, we have also been building soil. Good nutritious soil, which nourishes the fruits and vegetables that we grow right here to use in your meals. Strawberries and blueberries are plentiful in season. Tomatoes, beets and green beans produce more than we can use. Melons and squash abound. Our fruit tree orchard has had over a year in the ground so we hope for a good crop on the way.
Having so much fresh and beautiful produce lets us focus on our specialty, here at the Inn, cuisine. In addition to the multi-course breakfast that is always a part of your visit, you have the option of reserving a table for dinner.
Our Bistro Supper is a casual meal which can be prepared to accommodate time crunched guests and late or early dinner hours. Generally, we serve in the dining room at 6:30 unless we have made other arrangements with you.
The Bistro Supper is an ever-changing meal served in a true table d'hôte style; literally, table of the house (in other words, innkeeper's choice.) The evening's menu is designed the day of the meal based on what ingredients are the best available. The Bistro Supper is a lighter meal which always includes homemade bread with butter and a simple main course such as Tarragon Chicken Salad with Feta and Mushrooms, Turkey Tetrazzini, or Hearty Swedish Beef Soup. Then, finish with a light dessert (often homemade cookies) to round off with a sweet treat.
The Bistro Supper is $30 per person which does not include tax or gratuity.
State and local taxes total 13% on meals.
Please remember, this meal changes daily and is Chef's choice based on what is fresh in the market and our gardens. We STRONGLY suggest that guests choosing to dine at Greenock discuss allergies and any food dislikes with the chef when making reservations in order to make the meal pleasant for all.
