Your Hosts
Your hostess is Lill Shearer who operates the Inn mostly solo. Her husband Rich doesn't consider himself an “Innkeeper” yet… but maybe someday.
Lill brings 20 years of Air Force wife entertaining experience to the Inn just for starters. After the service, she racked up 13 years of restaurant experience in Northern Virginia . Both careers were stressful and time consuming. Now, her time can be consumed with enjoying her guests & friends & cats & cooking & family & sewing & upholstery & painting & refinishing & reading & art & … this still sounds stressful and time consuming.
Lill is pictured here with Punkin' who stays with her in her private quarters.
Rich maintains his positions at SAIC and, therefore; he commutes to Alexandria on a weekly basis. He will become the “handyman curmudgeon” (his words) as he transfers more of his time from corporate America to country gentleman. He looks forward to “puttering” around the Inn taking care of day to day repairs instead of day to day corporate crises. Unfortunately, at the moment, he gets to handle both jobs.
Lill and Rich look forward to welcoming you to Greenock House Inn!
